Sixty students from varied disciplines, including mechanical energy science and electrical teamed up and designed this cool energy efficient and eco-friendly racing car; which they unveiled on Thursday. This feat was showcased in the presence of the sponsors of the project and IIT-B’s dean of research and development, Rangan Banerjee. The car will use electric power from the lithium polymer batteries and there will be no tailpipe emission; it will leave negligible carbon footprints and the environmental impact will be insignificant.
