KTM showcases competition spec 350 SX-F

KTM had a dream run in India with a single bike on its first year in the sub continent. The Austrian bike maker displayed the competition spec 350 SX-F dirt bike at the recently held KTM Orange Day in Mumbai. The 350 SX-F, along with other bikes will be showcased at KTM Orange Stores across the country. The exhibition is to make the Indian’s aware that KTM is globally acclaimed for its dirt bikes and enduro bikes. When it comes to India, the marque is known as the maker of naked street bikes and KTM wants to change it by letting people have a look at its competition spec bikes. The 350 SX-F is a purpose built dirt bike and the sad thing is it is not street legal. The bike is unlikely to be available in India in the near future. Apart from the 350 SX-F, KTM has announced that it’ll showcase the RC-8 1190cc super sports bike at their dealerships. The company also announced that the KTM Duke 390 will be launched in India by mid-2013 while a RC-8 inspired small capacity super sports bike is due for a 2014 launch. While the name KTM is synonymous with dirt and enduro bikes, the company is shying away from introducing them in India, perhaps owing to lack of demand of such vehicles here. We hope KTM dirt bikes enter India in the future to create a new community of bikers. [Source: Overdrive.in ]
