It is raining motorcycles in India this year. There is an assortment of naked bikes, tourers, sports bikes waiting to be launched in the 250-400 cc category. The Mahindra Mojo is one among them and here is a set of spyshots of the bike which was caught testing in Chinchwad, near Pune by Indiancarsbikes.in. The test mule had its tank covered but rest of the parts were exposed. The bike has an unconventional styling especially with the shape of the tank and the twin pot headlamp unit which is enclosed in a bikini fairing. There are some nice touches like the smart engine cowl, good looking alloy wheels which are wrapped in meaty rubbers. The inner organs are concealed by an extra large, silver colored center panel. The 292cc single cylinder engine is a home grown unit and it has 26 bhp on tap. The bike gets inverted telescopic forks up front and monoshock suspension at the rear. Mr. P.S. Ashok, Senior Vice President & Head of R&D and Pune Operations of Mahindra 2 Wheelers told Indian Motos Blog earlier that the Mojo is in the final phase of development and would be launched in the later part of 2013. The Mahindra Mojo will be joining other upcoming bikes in its segment such as the Suzuki Inazuma 250, Kawasaki Ninja 300, KTM Duke 390 and Pulsar 375. [Source: Indiancarsbikes.in ]
