Piaggio launches the Moto Guzzi Bellagio in India

Moto Guzzi, the Italian bike making subsidiary of Piaggio has launched its second product in India, the Bellagio sports cruiser. In India, the brand might not enjoy the awareness and image it deserves until people come to know that Moto Guzzi is the oldest European manufacturer who is in continuous motorcycle production. Founded in 1921, the marque is very much the part of Italian motorcycle history. In 2004, Piaggio brought Moto Guzzi under its wings. The Moto Guzzi Bellagio is a hunky sports cruiser with imposing visual features. The bike makes progress with the help of a 935cc fuel injected V-Twin engine which has 74 bhp and 75 Nm of torque on tap. The power is processed by a 6 speed gearbox which then transfers it to the wheel via drive shaft. The rear wheel is pivoted with the help of a single swing arm as in the case of shaft driven motorcycles. The exhaust system has a 2-into-1-into-2 configuration like the Ducati 848. The Bellagio will join the Moto Guzzi Griso 1200 sports bike (first Moto Guzzi to be launched in India) and will be sold through Moto Guzzi’s lone Indian dealership, Northward Motors, Gurgoan. Thanks to the recent hike in the import duties, the brawny sports cruiser will set you back by Rs. 15.2 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). [Source: Indiancarsbikes.in ]
