The TVS Wego is the biggest scooter in the two wheeler maker’s portfolio. Now, TVS has bestowed front disc brake to make it one of the only two scooters in India to offer the safety feature, the other one being the Honda Aviator. The two wheeler has been adding decent numbers to the company’s sales chart every month and the addition of the disc brake is expected to lure the safety conscious riders. The Wego with the disc brake is priced at Rs. 49,157 (ex-showroom Delhi) which is a premium of Rs. 3,300 over the regular variant. The Wego is powered by a 8 bhp 110 cc engine which produces a torque of 8 Nm. Other noteworthy features of the TVS Wego are the all metal body and telescopic front suspension. Wego also has bigger wheels than its rivals. And the scooter comes with external fuel filler so that you needn’t open the seat every time you need a refill. TVS, who is one of the front line scooter manufacturers in India is reportedly developing a premium scooter in the 125cc segment. There is also a hybrid scooter called the Qube in the making whose drive train was previewed at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo. With the introduction of the disc brake, TVS Wego moves a few yards closer to the Honda Aviator. [Source: ]
