SRK renders a Maruti Suzuki SX4 concept

We’ve not witnessed drastic operations carried out on the SX4 except for the addition of the diesel heart that certainly makes it an interesting sedan for under ten lakh rupees. The SX4 is a good value for money vehicle but lately it has been facing stiff competition and has lost its grip in the market. The diesel variant will drive up sales but with a dozen new cars entering this segment in the next one year, we can’t see the SX4 holding its position for very long. For it to not slip down to the bottom of the chart, the SX4 demands serious changes to its exterior. The updated Swift made its debut about a year back and it is about time Suzuki does something about the SX4 as well. Like the Kizashi, R3 and A-Star, a concept car could be the best start in understanding what people want. Auto Expo 2012 is the best time and place for a concept vehicle. click through to read more

8,707 Tata Nanos sold in March

Tata registered an improvement in Nano sales as the company managed to push 8,707 cars to its dealers last month compared to 8,202 units in February. Apart from the free extended warranty and inexpensive maintenance package, TV and print adverts have aided the cause in boosting Nano sales. If Tata Motors can offer a diesel variant returning 30kpl, they can surpass 10k units quite easily. Tata could only see off 6,937 units of the Indica range compared to 10k+ units in February. With the arrival of the eV2 model, Indica sales is bound to grow in April.

Maruti SX4 Diesel Bookings Cross The 5000 Mark

Merely 20 days after the much-hyped diesel version of SX4 was launched in the Indian automobile market, Maruti Suzuki has already received more than 5000 bookings for the model. Yes, the response to the SX4 diesel variant has been phenomenal and its being expected that Maruti Suzuki would have to really work out of their skins to make sure the deliveries for the car is made on time and waiting periods are not long.
