Back in March 2009, Tata Motors showcased its first full electric vehicle, Indica Vista EV concept and announced that the vehicle will hit the showrooms in2011. And yes, this is not India! Words given come to real. Tata has started its production in UK and the car is going to hit the showrooms this summer in UK in a month or so. Tata designed the car in conjunction with its UK subsidiary and Miljo Grenland/Innovasjon, which is 70 percent owned by Tata Motor European Technical Centre, plc. It reaches from 0-60km/h in less than 10seconds and can reach a top-notch of 71mp/h. Don’t cry at its performance,because its stunning mileage will pop-out your eyes! Vista EV has a range of around 110 Miles on full charge! Yeah, now that’s what makes us feel proud about the car. However, mileage is not the only eye-pop out thing! Same applies to its price too. Vista EV is going to cost around £25,000-€30,000 for the base variant. That is nearly $40,000 or more! You could get 3 Toyota Prius in that much! But still what you get for that price is a full electric and 110 mpg vehicle! Thumbs Up for Tata Motors. And yes, don’t expect Vista EV in India at least for2 years or so because Tata Motors has not even hinted an electric vehicle for India because of our poor Infrastructure.
