Live Images: Nissan previews Evalia for India

The Toyota Innova better feel the jitters down its spine as Nissan India plans to chew it with their own rival – NV200 which will be named ‘Evalia’. The Evalia will come to India soon bit it was already launched in international markets a long time back gathering some really good feedback. The Nissan claims that the Evalia will seat 7 people in good comfort and will provide best in class fuel economy. The Evalia’s interior is very versatile in terms of space available. It will come with a rear view camera and intelligent key. It will be built in the Chennai factory. The Evalia will take on competition such as Toyota Innova and Mahindra Xylo. If Nissan has learnt a lesson from the Sunny, we could see some delicious pricing on the entry level variant of the Evalia possibly making it compete against the Ertiga. Live – Hyundai showcases new Sonata at 2012 Delhi Auto Expo

If you would recall the brand ‘Sonata’, you would remember a LONG car that sort of looks like the old Mercedes C Class. Sure, there was a Sonata Embera but that did not turn any eye balls. But Hyundai has finally showcased the Fluidic Sonata at the 2012 New Delhi Auto Expo and is it a looker or what! It will be powered by a 2.4L GDI engine with 201 PS @ 6300rpm 25.5 kgm of torque @ 4250 rpm. It is mated to a 6 speed manual or automatic transmission depending on your liking. There some very cool features too such as: HID xenons Cruise control Paddle shifters 10 way power seats with lumbar support for the driver and a 4 way adjustable seat for the co driver. Smart key with push button start The new Sonata packs in a lot of safety features as well such as: 6 air bags ABS with EBD ESP Rear view camera This is just a showcase so no price announcements done yet.
